Dualite is open for business, continuing operations as an Essential Business under the March 22, 2020 Stay at Home Order by the Director of the Department of Health, State of Ohio.
The Stay At Home Order requires that all businesses and operations in the State of Ohio, except “Essential Businesses and Operations,”cease all activities within the State except certain minimum basic operations (i.e., preserving inventory and processing payroll). The Stay At Home Order outlines a lengthy list of businesses that qualify as Essential Businesses and Operations.
Dualite is considered an Essential Business because it is a manufacturing company producing and supplying essential products and services in and for industries such as healthcare, agriculture, food and beverage and construction as well as products used by other Essential Businesses and Operations. Dualite will continue to design, build, replace, repair and/or rebrand the essential signage needed for these businesses to continue operations and provide necessary goods and services to Ohio residents, and to Essential Business located throughout the Country.
Moreover, under Section 9 of the Stay at Home Order, construction companies are permitted to continue essential business construction. The signs produced by Dualite are a necessary component of numerous active construction projects for Essential Businesses, including, but not limited to hotel and motel chains, gas stations and convenience stores, healthcare, finance, and restaurants offering drive through service.
We understand these are difficult and uncertain times for all of our employees and their families. The safety of our employees, their families, our customers and the public as a whole is of critical importance to us and is our first priority. Consistent with the Stay at Home Order, we have implemented measures whereby employees who can work from home are now required to do so. We have asked essential employees to continue to report to work for regular shifts to maintain the value of Dualite’s inventory, preserve the condition of Dualite’s plant and equipment, and satisfy our contractual obligations to the Essential Businesses described above.
Moreover,we have already taken precautions to protect the welfare and safety of our employees that are more protective than those required by the current governmental orders and will continue to implement every safety measure recommended by the CDC, the State of Ohio and our consultants and advisors.
We continue to monitor this situation and will update these processes as needed, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local rules and regulations.
